About the role: Product Owner

We’re now looking for an experienced Product Owner to join our Product Delivery team to support the development and delivery of new product lines and features, ensuring we are delivering quality products that meet the needs of our customers and target markets.

Our Product Owners work alongside an Engineering team to manage and support the software development lifecycle; this includes the prioritisation and scheduling of work, ensuring requirements are accurately documented and shared with teams for execution. In addition, our Product Owners are responsible for managing and driving forward the roadmap for their assigned product vertical, for which they ultimately become a subject matter expert.

The role is fast paced and varied and relies on cross functional collaboration and excellent communication.  

What you'll be doing:

  • Pro-active management of one or more BR-DGE product verticals, becoming the subject matter expert for those.
  • Ensuring priorities agreed upon by the product team are delivered to deadline.
  • Regular review and prioritisation of product features and engineering team backlogs, maintaining alignment with engineering teams to deliver shared goals
  • Supporting the engineering team throughout the development lifecycle, achieving quality delivery during the acceptance process
  •  Translating product problems and requirements into user stories with sufficient acceptance criteria, ensuring these are understood by the engineering teams and continually improve the quality of deliver
  • Working closely with our Technical Project Managers during the onboarding of customers to ensure seamless go live activity
  • Conduct detailed scoping and research into 3rd party integrations, to provide engineering teams with focused information
  • Monitor and review the product line performance in production to ensure a high level of service

What we're looking for:

  • 2+ years’ experience in product management
  • Experience in managing conflicting priorities and deadlines
  • Practical knowledge of agile processes and techniques
  • Proficient user of Jira and Confluence
  • Shows a strong sense of passion and ownership for the product line
  • Works well in a team environment across product, commercial and engineering
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Confidence in managing expectations of internal and external stakeholders
  • Growth mindset, always looking to expand skills and experience

What would be great to have:

  • Background in a FinTech start-up/scale up environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of the payments industry
  • Experience in UI/UX and familiarity with the associated best practices
