The story of BR-DGE

We are redefining the global payments landscape by building the technology, connections and relationships that enable merchants and payment providers to optimise, innovate and grow. Our vision is to drive value, equity and interoperability across the payments ecosystem.

Our story started at iconic transport company Stagecoach, where our founder, Brian Coburn, dealt with the struggle of complex payment challenges. He recognised the need for a flexible and scalable solution that would enable merchants to streamline and innovate the payment process, without limitations.  

By founding BR-DGE, Brian transformed legacy systems and pioneered changes in payment technology that created new revenue streams and enhanced customer experiences across the country. 

Since our foundations, we’ve come a long way as a business. BR-DGE is now a category leader in payment orchestration, working with enterprise businesses worldwide, across sectors such as transport, travel, gaming, and digital goods. 

We’ve built over 40 partnerships, including fraud solution integrations, PSP and payment methods connections, continually building our ecosystem to deliver innovation for our customers. 

Recently, we’ve responded to demand for a white-label version of our platform. It helps platforms, payment providers and financial services to enhance their payments infrastructure and own a piece of the orchestration opportunity.  

We’ve expanded globally and with an on-the-ground presence in the APAC region. We’re now able to onboard customers with a footprint across every region in the world. 

BR-DGE is constantly adapting, to move ahead of market demand. We are truly independent and vendor-agnostic. This means we are uniquely placed to deliver value throughout the payment landscape. 

At the helm of BR-DGE are our dedicated leaders, pioneering the way forward for the payments ecosystem.  Our dedicated team are the power behind the technology and relationships that set BR-DGE apart.

Motivated and passionate about our mission, the BR-DGE leadership team have previously built, scaled, and exited technology businesses in sectors such as B2B SaaS, Fintech, Banking, eCommerce and Travel. 

Chief Executive Officer

Thomas has held leadership positions in B2B SaaS technology businesses; working across corporate strategy, international expansion, investor engagement, exit planning as well as founding SIS Ventures.

Outside of work, he spends his time trying to keep up with his kids whilst maintaining his status as an average amateur golfer.

Founder & Chief Strategy Officer

Brian began his career at the age of 16 as a trainee at Stagecoach and worked his way up to become CIO, where he gained his appreciation of the importance of payments and the problems facing merchants.

His work ethic and creativity stems from his time playing in a rock band, which taught him, in his own words, “to make sure that what you produce is absolutely the best thing that you can”. 

Chief Technology Officer

With nearly 20 years’ experience in payments spanning roles from Software Engineer to Senior Leadership positions at Mastercard and DataCash, Kenny has led a wide variety of engineering and analyst teams across the globe. Kenny has a passion for continuous improvement in people, process and technology.

Away from work, Kenny enjoys spending time with his daughters, playing various musical instruments, and staying fit by running and cycling. 

Commercial Director

Armed with commercial leadership roles in a range of successful Saas and eCommerce businesses Jacob immediately understood the importance and value Bridge can offer merchants.

He loves nothing more than making the solution to seemingly complex payment challenges simple through the use of innovative tech. Out of work, he will usually be playing, watching or talking about sport.
