Our Platform team provides a stable, highly available, easy to use platform for our customers and application engineers with well-designed systems and solutions they need to build, deploy and run their workloads. We look for engineers with a passion for performance and reliability, and who enjoy taking projects from conception to production, whilst considering scale, resiliency and FinOps.

Our multi-region tech stack currently includes OKD, ArgoCD, Opensearch, Prometheus, RabbitMQ, Postgres, Couchbase and AWS. We are currently migrating from Jenkins to GitHub Actions and have more planned!

As we deploy production services, we operate on-call rotations to ensure the health of the system. Everyone at BR-DGE uses our products in their day-to-day, so being on call is an important way to understand our system and how people use our products.

What you'll be doing:

  • Maintaining and operating our multi-region container orchestration platform (OKD) and supporting services including logging, monitoring and CI/CD
  • Working with terraform, ansible and bash to manage our systems
  • Designing and implementing project requirements
  • Collaborating with project stakeholders, disambiguating requirements and finding pragmatic solutions
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of everything we do, both team process and what we deliver
  • Regular patching, updates and maintaining secure systems
  • Participating in out-of-hours, in-hours and incident management processes
  • Utilising FinOps practices in all you do

What we're looking for:

  • OKD or Openshift, or general Kubernetes administration experience
  • Experienced with infrastructure as code with common languages, tooling and working knowledge of Linux
  • History working with clustered, highly available and fault-tolerant systems
  • Applied experience with AWS
  • Bash experience
  • Agile workplace experience
  • A strong relationship builder who will challenge and collaborate internally and externally

What would be great to have:

  • OKD and EKS experience
  • Working experience with Digital Ocean and Azure
  • Terraform, golang, Ansible

What we offer:

  • Salary up to £75k per annum (dependent on experience)
