About the role:

The VP of Product is a newly created role at BR-DGE and will play a crucial role in shaping our product vision and strategy as we scale.  The role will take responsibility of leading our talented teams of Product professionals, including our Head of Product Delivery and Head of Product Development, and will drive our product strategy, ensuring the delivery of our roadmap to meet our business objectives.

Working as part of our leadership team and reporting to our Exec, the VP of Product will work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to define and deliver products that exceed our customer’s exceptions and position us as a market leader in the payments’ technology space.

This role requires a deep understanding of the payments industry, strong product management skills and the ability to lead and inspire a high-performing product team.  The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading and scaling successful product teams and delivering high-impact products.

Key Responsibilities

Product strategy & vision:

  • Develop and communicate a market-leading product vision that aligns with BR-DGE’s ambitious strategy.
  • Define the long-term product roadmap, ensuring it meets market demands and customer needs.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor activities, and technological advancements to keep our product offerings competitive.

Product development & execution:

  • Take ownership of the entire product lifecycle, driving ideation and development to launch and post-launch optimisation.
  • Provide business visibility of end-end delivery, ensuring the team are execution focussed and roadmap items are delivered on time.
  • Prioritise product features and initiatives based on business impact, customer value, and resource availability.
  • Implement data-driven decision-making processes to measure product success and iterate on features.

Leadership & team development:

  • Lead and mentor the product team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, pre-sales, customer delivery, and data teams to ensure successful product development and delivery.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to align on product goals, priorities, and timelines.

Customer & market focus:

  • Engage with customers, partners, and industry experts to gather feedback and insights that inform product decisions
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer pain points, use cases, and requirements to ensure our products solve real-world problems
  • Drive customer-centric innovation, ensuring that our solutions exceed customer expectations

Revenue & winning position:

  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to support go-to-market strategies that drive adoption and revenue growth
  • Ensure that our product offerings align with the needs of different customer segments, including ISVs, acquirers, and merchants
  • Monitor and analyse product performance metrics to ensure alignment with business goals and objectives

What we are looking for:

  • Extensive product management experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, preferably in the payments or fintech industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully launching and scaling B2B products in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with payment orchestration, payment gateways, or related financial technologies.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate market insights into actionable product strategies.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with experience in building and mentoring high-performing product teams.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficient in Agile methodologies and modern product management tools.
  • Positive and pragmatic approach; solving problems holistically in line with business objectives
  • Hands on people-centric leader, often leading by example with a focus on team improvement
  • Strong commercial outlook who empathises with customer requirement
